Hi everyone,
I was having too much trouble with formatting, etc. on my tumblr so I decided to switch to blogspot. This is my official travel blog for my semester abroad at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I arrived safely in Chiang Mai this morning, after a long, smooth journey from DC to Narita to Bangkok. I hope you enjoy my updates!
For anyone curious about the name of this blog, here is the name explained: Thais try to maintain a sense of light-hearted fun, or "sanuk" (สนุก), in daily life. While I am here, I will also try to maintain a sense of sanuk. I wanted to establish that I am an American in Thailand, hence the reference to the American "pursuit of happiness".
